Teak contains natural oils so treating the wood is not necessary and it requires little or no maintenance at all. Over time your teak will weather to a beautiful silver grey colour. An occasional scrub with warm soapy water and a nail brush is sufficient to clean your teak garden furniture. Don’t be afraid of teak, it really is resilient and looks the finest of all timbers. Topiary has been used in the gardens of Europe since Roman times. It survived a popularity decline in the 1700’s and experienced a dramatic revival in the mid 19th century, from which it has not abated. In fact, Topiary today is more popular than ever and found in a huge number of British gardens from the smallest spheres to stately works of art that are often decades in the making.

Olive trees are characterised by their silvery-green leaves and gnarled trunks. They typically grow to heights of 20-30 feet, but can sometimes reach up to 50 feet. Olive trees are known for their longevity, with some trees living for several centuries.
